As you can see, the Mikey Bike Team has made some
modifications to this Safticycle. They changed the fenders (Does anyone know what kind of fenders they are?) as well as added
a new cable activated rear brake. This bike will be at the Portland Motor Bike Show in mid-July for all those who want
to see this bike up close and personal. It will not be 100% complete but will surely be a site to see!! Please continue to
visit because more restorations are in progress.
This is our LaRayish Bike. This LaRay frame
will be totally customized (Which is why we call it our LaRayish Bike).
As you can see the MikeyBike Team is busy
restoring many motor bikes and scooters. Not only are they restoring a Safticycle (pictured below) but they
are also restoring a LaRay and a Model 85 Salsbury (pictured above).
As you can tell from the picture, we have made some
updates to the restoration of this Safticycle. Our MikeyBike Team sanded the frame and it is now covered in primer red while
the fenders have also been sanded but are covered in primer silver. This Safticycle features a 6.5 overhead electric start
motor with a Comet TAV-2 Torque Converter. You can also note the big, oversized rims and 24x400 tires. The MikeyBike Team
also added and lengthened the rear drop outs. The Safticycle is still a work in progress so make sure to visit often
and see more updates!
Here is the newly restored Safticycle gas tank, you
can tell what a dramatic change it has undergone. It was painted a nice, bright red that just pops with the white "Safticycle"
logo.
Our MikeyBike Team is now onto a new restoration project, a
1951 Safticycle, that will be customized for the owner. As you can tell from the picture this baby is going to take some time
to be fully restored.
Pictured is the Lynn Family with our MikeyBike Team.
The Lynn Family was here to take home their beautifully restored LaRay. Thank you Lynn family for the wonderful
LaRay hats, they are greatly appreciated!
The 4 Star General says it is complete and just in time
for the holidays! We are just waiting for the owner to come and pick it up.
Here is Lou, part of our MikeyBike Team, making some final
adjustments....

Lou speeding down the street!!!
Now it is time to take it back to garage.
With the addition of the handlebar, grips and throttle,
our restoration is nearly complete. As you can tell we cannot wait to take this baby for a test drive!
The fuel line is complete and the MikeyBike
Team added the belts and the guard. Soon, this bike will be finished!
Here you can see the addition of the kick stand, tank
sticker, and the sheave. The wheels were pin-striped and mounted. The fuel line, however, is still a work in progress.
You can see we doing the finishing touches of the
rear light wiring...We are in the Christmas Spirit!!
As you can see here, the MikeyBike Team has added
the rear wheel and tire.
Now you can see that the MikeyBike Team added a few
more parts to the LaRay. The second picture shows the addition of the stem, both front and rear fenders, and front and
rear lights. The first picture (top) shows the addition of the motor. The third picture shows the motor up close.
In the above two pictures, you can see the addition
of three new parts: the seat, fork, and gas tank. The top picture is a close up of the LaRay's head tube.
The current restoration project that the MikeyBike
Team is on is the restoration of a 1947 LaRay. For all those who want to see the finished project in person, be sure to head
to Portland in 2008! The LaRay features a new coat of blue paint with nice cream accents.
