1940's Schwinn Cantilever Bicycle with a Whizzer Model J Motor Kit
In 1948, Whizzer introduced the Whizzer Model "J" engine which featured
a more-reliable Carter carburetor, and motorcycle-type twist-grip controls. Whizzer sold about 51,000 Model "J"
motors. Whizzer also offered the Model J Motorbike kit so you could attach to a bicycle. The Whizzer Model J motorbike
kit included the Whizzer Model J motor, rear sheeve, belts, controls, exhaust pipe, rear stand and tank. In the
picture above, the Whizzer Model J Motor kit is installed on a late 1940's Schwinn Cantilever-style bicycle.
